Our client is A Hong Kong Conglomerate.

Responsibilities:

Policy set up

-          Assist to set up Group accounting policies and ensure their compliance by all BUs within the Group

Reporting

-          Ensure the Group to comply with listing rules on financial area

-          Responsible for all Group reporting requirements (both external and internal) including statutory annual and interim report, monthly management reports, as well as various kinds of group analysis reports for the use by Group management, Holding company, presentation to analysts etc, contribute to business and strategic decision-making

Budgeting

-          Assist to drive the whole budget process for the Group, including designing budget package, preparing internal business trend analysis, reviewing budget package submitted by BUs, contributing input to Group Management during the budget discussion process, and consolidating a final Group budget package

Profit monitoring

-          Assist Group Management to measure BUs performance against budget on a monthly and quarterly basis. Perform analytical review on monthly performance of BU. Investigate the reasons for deviation from budget and latest forecast. 

-          Assist Group Management to plan the half-year and full year profit for result announcement.

Financial system development

-          Coordinate with GIT to drive the major development and enhancement of the financial systems and reporting tools of the Group based on user requirements. Ensure that the systems are fully utilized and ensure the users have proper skills and full understanding of the systems

Tax planning

-          Work with tax consultants and tax manager to drive various tax planning and handle tax issues for the Group

Financial advice

Provide financial advice to Group Management and various parties within the Group, e.g. assist in evaluation and completion for acquisition of new business, special review on ad hoc projects etc.  Give recommendation and provide technical support and risk management for BUs.

 

Requirements:

-          University Degree

-          Qualified accountant with 12 years’ working experience field with both audit and commercial group, of which at least 6 years’ experience should be at managerial level

-          Strong experience in reporting and large scale consolidation

-          Listed company background is an advantage
