Our client is Leading Retail Conglomerate in HK

Job Summary:

  • As the Senior Tax Manager, you will manage Greater China and Asian tax matters across all of the Group’s business activities.  You will be a member of the Group’s Asia Tax team reporting to the Director of Tax (Asia), also will work closely alongside the Group’s tax colleagues based in Europe.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with various internal parties to provide tax advice regarding tax issues in the region in driving commercial solutions.
  • Implement inter-company transfer pricing policy and ensure transfer pricing compliance in the region.
  • Coordinate in dealing with tax authorities’ enquiries, tax / customs audits and other ad hoc issues.
  • Review and prepare income tax provisions and deferred tax computations.
  • Work with relevant business functions to ensure the Group is in compliance with local tax rules and regulations as well as in line with the Group’s policies. 
  • Communicate with financial, legal and operational teams on tax related matters.
  • Support quarterly and year-end group tax reporting processes.
  • Effectively manage the use and performance of external tax advisors so as to ensure appropriate external tax advisor fee spending.
  • Responsible for ad-hoc tax projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or relevant disciplines with professional qualifications.
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience gained from sizable/ listed companies. Candidate with less experience will be considered as Manager.
  • Demonstrable experience of dealing with tax matters in the Greater China and Asian region is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
  • Solid knowledge and working experience with all kind of HK and PRC tax requirements and tax practices is a must;
  • Mature and able to work independently; well organized, proactive with ability to meet multiple deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Self-motivated and enjoy teamwork across different culture; ready for occasional travel as required.
