Our Client is A Multi-brand Global Retailer


- To lead a team of over 25+ staff members to support and deliver system implementation and enhancement to all the Head Office application systems to meet business needs.

- Key applications included but not limited to:

  •           Retek and Oracle ERP
  •           Supply Chain – WINS, RF and PTL
  •           CRM/Siebel and BO/BI – Loyalty Management, Campaign Management and Customer Analytics

Ÿ- Focus of the role included:

  •           Strategic planning and team coaching so that the team is able to complete the assignment with the expected deliverables in an effective and efficient way
  •           Reviewing the application with the Business Unit Its and Departments to make it more user friendly and easy to use, and to meet business expectation
  •           Reviewing strategic application architecture, making it more robust and sustainable and easy to maintain
  •           Defining new enhancement to strengthen the system function and features so as to deliver more benefit to the business

- The jobholder/team provides systems development, rollout and support to all Business Units in Asia and may extend to Europe when necessary

- The jobholder will also have account service responsibilities for assigned Business Units/Departments



Ÿ- Technical skills requirements:

  •           Knowledge of development tools to be used – Oracle Database, Oracle Forms/Reports, Oracle PL/SQL, Pro*C, Unix, SQL, Java, MS .Net, MS SQL Server, Business intelligent tools
  •           Knowledge of technical writing
  •           Knowledge of retail applications
  •           Understanding of system development methodology

Ÿ- Experience requirements:

  •           ERP system development
  •           Full development cycle of application system
  •           Managing team of technical staff to support and develop system in retail business
  •           Bachelor degree or higher in information technology or related subjects
  •           18 years or more relevant experience; preferably in the retail/ FMCG industry

Ÿ- Other requirements:

  •           Good knowledge of the technology trends and solutions available
  •           Substantial experience in multinational companies with regional perspective
  •           A dynamic leader and team builder with excellent project management capabilities and people management skills
  •           Be customer-centric, commercial minded and ability to translate business requirements / issues / needs into technology solutions
  •           Excellent problem solving and management skills with strong business alignment
  •           A team player with collaborative attitude
  •           Strong analytical skill and ability to think outside of the box
  •           Experience in retail is a definite advantage
