Our client is A Multi-brand Global Retailer


- Lead a team of ~10 staff members to deliver and maintain IT infrastructure, application systems and services for the assigned Business Unit(s)

- Key systems included but not limited to:

  •          Corporate systems – Retek, WINS, CRM, BO, ERP
  •          Store Systems – Retalix, BCS, RSIM, Scales

Ÿ- Responsible for the IT budget and efficient cost management

- Focus of the role included:

  •           Build a strong and capable IT team that understands internal/external customer needs and delivers results
  •           Bring in forward thinking/innovative solutions and deliver enabling technologies for customers to conveniently and efficiently interact with our business
  •           Bring in and maintain a well-established mechanism to measure performance KPI and service level with full visibility at all levels
  •           Ensure conformance to Group IT and Retail Operating Standards with regard to process, operations and procurement
  •           Ensure the level of out-sourced support services delivered by the vendors meets the Group’s standards 


- Technical skills requirements:

  •           In-depth IT knowledge, especially for retail business
  •           End-to-end retail business knowledge

Ÿ- Experience requirements:

  •           Managing IT department in large scale multi-national retail company
  •           People management
  •           Customer service management
  •           Infrastructure management
  •           Store systems management
  •           Retail systems management
  •           End-to-end data flows
  •           Project/Change Management
  •           Vendor selection and management
  •           18 years or more relevant experience; preferably in the retail/ FMCG industry

Ÿ- Good knowledge of the technology trends and solutions available

Ÿ- Substantial experience in multinational companies

Ÿ- A dynamic leader and team builder with excellent project management capabilities and people management skills

Ÿ- Be customer-centric, commercial minded and ability to translate business requirements / issues / needs into technology solutions

Ÿ- Excellent problem solving and management skills with strong business alignment

Ÿ- A team player with collaborative attitude

Ÿ- Strong analytical skill and ability to think outside of the box

- Retail sense of urgency. Experience in retail is a definite advantage
