Our client is A mid-sized life insurance firm in HK

Job Summary:

  • The initial focus of this role will be Employee Relations.  As a HR Business Partner, you will be providing full spectrum of recruitment and staffing services for assigned business units
  • Handle day-to-day HR operations and liaise pro-actively and regularly with business units in order to understand their needs; and provide effective and efficient recruitment service.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Participate in compilation of HR reports and deliver high quality HR services.



  • To cultivate relationships with BUs to understand business needs, development and directions;
  • Independently provide end to end recruitment services for designated departments up to Manager level including selecting recruitment channels, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, preparing salary proposal, on-boarding arrangement, exit-documents and logistics
  • Assist in identifying manpower and recruitment needs, and monitoring staff movements  – recruitment, retention, transfer and termination;
  • Perform contract management in compliance with respective local statutory requirements

Job Evaluation and JDs

  • Ensure jobs are evaluated, JDs are in place for every BU and maintained within Hay System including reporting.

Strategy and Policy

  • Assist BUs / NW on the implementation of HR policies and procedures;
  • Provide support to streamline HR policies, procedures and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Work together with other HR team members in compilation of regular and ad hoc HR reports

Performance Management

  • Promote and implement performance management process to BUs;
  • Assist in monitoring and administering performance appraisal exercise;

Change Management

  • With guidance from CHRO, assist BUs on interpretation and application of related changes so as to strive for a balance between corporate requirement and business environment/structure

Expenses Control and Budget for HR

  • Verify and monitor the monthly expenses reports, liaise with Financial Control Department to clarify discrepancies
  • Maintain a proper record of petty cash and arrange replenishment
  • Assist HR Director in co-ordinating and monitoring annual HR budget

HR projects

  • Work together with other HR Business Partners to provide support to other HR teams in HR projects and programs to meet business needs


  • Degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline
  • PC literate in MS Office and Chinese word-processing
  • At least 6 years’ solid HRBP experiences preferably in financial services business
  • Familiar with HK Employment Ordinance and other related legislations
  • Fluent English and Cantonese
