Our client is A leading International Life Insurance Company

Job Summary:

  • Managing & implementing cross-functional business / market development and product initiatives in line with business strategies; 
  • Acting as channel between frontline partners and corporate office and providing support to distribution channels to sustain the momentum of profitable product sales


Product Development and Management

  • Planning and aligning the strategic positioning of existing and new products to fit the corporate and business strategy whilst strongly supporting the achievement of sales and profit targets

To manage the life cycle for each product by:

  • Conducting researching and collating in-depth product information of the competitors 
  • Understanding internal and external customers’ needs
  • Developing product concepts from initial input to product pricing
  • Translating the concept into more product specification as part of the final product pricing documentation
  • Leading cross-functional teams and coordinating and scheduling all actions related to any product initiatives 
  • Evaluating distribution feedback on the product initiatives
  • Monitoring product portfolio to suit the changing needs of customers and distribution, ensuring company strategic objectives are met, including volume and profit requirements.
  • Lead and co-ordinate departmental activities to launch products/ enhancements and meeting set time schedule.
  • Manage post implementation to improve profitable business opportunities
  • Regularly review existing products and recommend changes to ensure the product portfolio remains competitive, relevant and profitable.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes and ensure full compliance of the product suite.
  • Planning and manage internal product launch activities including launch briefing run-down, presentation materials development, work with training team in organizing new product launch training and handle Q&As

 Business & Market Development

  • Managing / assisting to manage non-product development projects assigned by company executives
  • Negotiating and working with external parties on business terms, contractual terms on business projects


  • University graduate; preferably in Business, Marketing or Actuarial Discipline.
  • A minimum of 8 years of insurance industry experience product development/ management
  • Able to think strategically; Creative and Flexible; Result Oriented; Leadership abilities; Excellent presentation skills
  • Mature, self-reliant and be able to work under extreme pressure
  • Be fluent in both written and oral English & Chinese
  • Ability to capture concept, to communicate effectively and to motivate others in achieving objectives
  • Frequent contact with internal staff, field partners, external vendors, strategic partners and customers be required
